We are honored to once again support our Director of Operations, Jordana Wluka-Bishop, and the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, in memory of Jordana’s grandfather, who lost his battle with the disease in 2001 and all those living with the disease and supporting a loved one with Alzheimer’s.
This walk is taking place on Saturday, September 22, at Patriot Place in Foxborough, and is one of more than 600 taking place throughout communities nationwide. (Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; opening ceremony is at 9:30 a.m., and walkers begin at 10 a.m.) The route lengths are 2 and 2.5 miles.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

In addition to volunteering as the Logistics Chair for the Neponset Valley Walk, Jordana is raising funds in memory of her grandfather Icek “Hank” Wluka, who passed away in 2001 after a six-year-long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Hank was an incredible man, who survived three years at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp during the Holocaust, and then traveled to America with his wife, Brenda, and their three-year-old son, David (Jordana’s father). He settled in Massachusetts as his family grew – in addition to Brenda and David, he welcomed two more sons and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We honor his memory, and Jordana’s efforts.

We hope to see you there. Thank you for your support!
