Via Seating opened its doors in 1987 and the commercial furniture industry was changed forever. Innovating like no other in the mid-market, Via was the first company to introduce 48-hour manufacturing time. And we did it on every chair, every fabric and every leather. Via Seating also created a whole new category of chairs called ‘execu-task’ seating. This new category was born out of the idea that a seat of power should have great ergonomic function too. These were the original inspirations of the founder of Via, Danish-born Thomas Sorensen.
